Men's Golf Climbs Leaderboard on Final Day on Linger Longer

EATONTON, Ga. – The Troy men's golf team climbed a pair of spots on the leaderboard following Sunday's final round of the Linger Longer Invitational at the Great Waters Golf Course; the Trojans finished the weekend in 13th place.
Will McFadden led the Trojans wire-to-wire and finished tied for 16th overall at 1-under for the weekend. He closed out his three rounds with a 1-under 71 on Sunday thanks to a card that was loaded with four birdies.
Nicklas Borrmann put together a solid weekend after he fired a 1-over 73 on Sunday to close the event at 4-over par which included an opening round 70; he tied for 32nd place overall. Borrmann had a trio of birdies on his card in addition to an eagle on the par-5 18th.
Charlotte ran away with the team title besting No. 40 Georgia Tech by 11 shots while No. 45 Virginia was 14 shots back in third.
Brent Hamm finished in a tie for 40th place following a 2-over 74 on Sunday, Ryan Morrison tied for 76th and Reagan Harrell finished 83rd.
The Trojans will take a couple weeks off before returning to action at The National Intercollegiate in Greensboro, Ga.
