Troy Travels To The Carolinas To Finish Four-Game Road Trip

TROY, Al. – Troy Volleyball wraps up a four-game road trip as they travel to take on Coastal Carolina Friday night at 5:00 from Conway SC. They will then make the 281-mile drive north and head to Boone, NC, to face Appalachian State on Sunday morning with an 11:30 first serve.
"This is always one of the most challenging road trips of the season," head coach Josh Lauer said. "Our team is working through some lineup changes, and we have had great focus and effort in practice this week. We are looking forward to our first weekend of matches against eastern division opponents and will be looking forward to great competition both Friday and Sunday."

- History: Cheyenne Hayes became the Trojan's all-time leader in kills in the rally-scoring era during Troy's 3-1 match win over Chattanooga earlier in the season. Hayes passed Meghan Gilroy. Hayes now has 1539 kills in her career and is 105 kills away from being the all-time leader in Trojan history. Earlier in the year, Tory Cheyenne Hayes became the fifth Trojan in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.
- Cheyenne Hayes matched her season-high of 17 kills coming against Texas State. She also led the Trojans with 12 kills and a .321 hitting percentage against UT Arlington. With 29 kills in the opening weekend of conference play, Hayes has surpassed 1500 career kills, becoming the only third Trojan ever to reach that mark.
- Leading the Belt: As a team, Troy ranks first in the conference in kills per set, averaging 13.50, second in assists per set, averaging 12.55. Troy currently ranks 37th in the country in assists (12.54), 51 in kills per set (13.50), and 103 in the country in hitting percentage (.227)
