KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – ShaeLee Scarberry fired a 1-under 71 to lead Troy in Monday's opening round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Turtle Point Golf Course. Teams were in the middle of their second rounds when the day was halted due to darkness.

Scarberry carded five birdies in her opening round and finished the morning session in a tie for 17^th place overall. Elisabeth Preus and Bruna Roqueta both shot 5-over par in the first round to sit in a tie for 65^th place, while Anna Claire Little is tied for 73^rd at 6-over and Elizabeth Caldarelli is tied for 79^th place at 10-over.

North Florida held a 6-shot lead over Sam Houston State following the morning round, which was delayed slightly due to some bad weather to start the day.

Teams will resume their second round Tuesday morning before playing the third and final round.
