TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's golf team wraps its fall schedule this week with a trip to the Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
The Trojans are coming off a tie for seventh at the Lady Red Wolves Classic two weeks ago thanks to a strong third round performance that saw Troy shoot 3-over as a team. ShaeLee Scarberry, as she has all fall, led the Trojans as she bounced back from a 10-over in the opening round to shoot 2-under over her final 36 holes.
Scarberry leads the Trojans with a 73.00 scoring average for the year, and her four rounds under par are also a team best. Elisabeth Preus is right on her heels with a 74.33 scoring average, and she leads the team with 91.7 percent of her rounds counting towards the team card.
The Trojans have been much stronger in the last round of tournaments so far this year as they are nearly four shots better than on the first trip through the course. All five Trojans in the lineup this week carry lower final round averages than opening round scores.
Elizabeth Caldarelli enters the week third on the Troy leaderboard with a 75.25 stroke average, while Bruna Roqueta and Anna Claire Little both have a top 25 finish on their resume this season.
The Field
Troy, College of Charleston, Sam Houston State, East Carolina, Chattanooga, North Florida, South Florida, Kennesaw State, Xavier, Stetson, Jacksonville State, Elon, Georgetown, UNC Greensboro, Youngstown State, Daytona State

Teams are locked into a shotgun start on Monday with 36 holes on tap. Troy will play along with Jacksonville State and Elon with threesomes starting on holes 10 thru 13.
