Men’s Tennis Set for ITA Southern Regionals

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team continues its busy fall season with another challenging tournament as the Trojans head to Auburn for the ITA Southern Regionals at the Yarbrough Tennis Complex Thursday through Tuesday.

Nine Trojans will be in action Thursday as the first two rounds of the qualifying singles play will take place. Friday's schedule features the final round of singles qualifying plus the first round of the doubles draw.

Joining the Trojans at the ITA Southern Regionals will be Alabama, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Auburn, Jacksonville State, Louisiana, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tulane and UAB.

Carles Anton will not make his singles debut at the event until Saturday, where he will play in the main draw after earning the overall No. 8 seed. Francisco Erramuspe is 4-2 through two events this year for the Trojans, while Nicolas Rodriguez carries a 5-3 record into the weekend and Noah Martens is 2-1.

Pelayo Antuna and Anton will team up in the doubles draw after the pair posted a 7-1 mark together last year and a 14-2 record two years ago.
