TROY, Ala. – For the sixth and seventh times in as many games, the Troy women's basketball team will be playing inside Trojan Arena. Troy will host Coastal Carolina for two games this weekend as the Trojans close their seven-game long home stand. This weekend's series matches up the top two finishers in the Sun Belt standings from a season ago.

• It was a shootout in the last meeting between these two programs. Jasmine Robinson was electric from behind-the-arc with five made triples while Alexus Dye recorded 13 points and 15 rebounds. Coastal Carolina was led by former Chanticleer great, DJ Williams who scored a Sun Belt best, 51 points on 16-of-31 shooting.
VS COASTAL CAROLINA
Coastal Carolina and Troy have been very even when they play, even though Troy holds a 4-3 all-time record against CCU. In the series Coastal is outscoring Troy in ppg (85.6 for Troy to 86.4 for CCU). However, when playing in Trojan Arena Troy has outscored CCU 85.8 ppg to 79.0 ppg. Coastal enters the weekend with a 3-5 overall record and an 0-4 SBC record. Before their losing streak started on Jan. 8, CCU hadn't played a game since Dec. 11 due to three canceled games and two postponed games. This will be Coastal Carolina's second road weekend in three SBC series.
HONORING COACH McNELIS
The Troy coaching staff will be wearing black and gold ribbons this weekend to honor Southern Miss head coach Joye Lee-McNelis who was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

For the ninth consecutive season Troy is leading the Sun Belt in scoring. The Trojans are averaging 85.3 ppg (most in the Rigby era). The next closest team is Ga. Southern who is averaging 77.2. Coastal Carolina ranks ninth at 62.0 ppg.
DOUBLE STANDARD
Through 11 games, Alexus Dye is averaging a double-double with 18.0 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game. She has recorded double-doubles in eight of the 11 games and has earned the 5th most double-doubles in the NCAA.

After ranking 2nd nationally last season in both free throws made and attempted, Troy once again finds itself amongst the nation's elite at the charity stripe. Troy ranks 19th in made free throws (197) and 13th in attempts (282).

Senior Jasmine Robinson has scored 869 career points and is just 131 points away from becoming the 25th member of the 1,000-point club.
SUN BELT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Through the six weeks of the SBC Player of the Week being announced, Troy student-athletes have been honored three times. Tiyah Johnson earned her first career POW honor in week three while Alexus Dye earned her third career honor, second of the 2020-21 season, in week six.
GEORGIA STATE RESCHEDULED
Troy's two game road series at Georgia State that was originally scheduled for Jan. 8-9 has been rescheduled for Feb. 15-16. Troy and Ga. State will play four games against each other over a six-day period. Prior to the Monday night game Troy will play two games against South Alabama on Thursday, Feb. 11 & 13, so the Trojans will play six games in 10 days.
