Final Results
TROY, Ala. – Nicole Lorup fired a 2-over 74 to lead the Troy women's golf team in Tuesday's final round of the Hoover Invitational at the Hoover Country Club; Lorup tied for 11th individually and the Trojans finished in eighth place.
Lorup made the turn at 1-over with a pair of birdies and played the back nine of her round also to a 1-over card with a pair of bogeys and a birdie. Her finish marked the sixth time in the last 10 tournaments where she was Troy's top finisher.
The Trojans fell a spot into eighth place after shooting 20-over as a team on the day. Indianapolis surged past Western Kentucky to win the team title while Southern Illinois, Middle Tennessee and UAB rounded out the top five.
Senior transfer Courtney Vogel closed out her first tournament as a Trojan in a tie for 30th place after a third-round 78 which featured a pair of birdies. ShaeLee Scarberry tied for 38th place at 15-over for the tournament after shooting a 3-over 75 Tuesday.
Rounding out the field among team scorers for Troy was Elisabeth Preus in a tie for 52nd place after shooting 19-over par and Judith Castro in a tie for 55th place at 2-over. Anna Claire Little led a trio of Trojan individuals in a tie for 52nd place while Brooklyn Bostick finished 57th and Elizabeth Caldarelli placed 59th.
Troy continues its fall season Oct. 11-12 at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark.
