Football Opens Fall Camp Friday

TROY, Alabama – The official return of football to Troy's campus is less than 24 hours away as the Trojans are set to open fall camp on the practice fields behind Trojan Arena Friday. It will be the first full practice since Troy's spring practice was cut short after just five sessions to due COVID-19 in March.
Troy is slated to go through five days of traditional camp before classes start on campus this upcoming Wednesday. The late start to fall camp is due to the NCAA calendar; teams can start practice 29 days prior to their original scheduled season opener.
All of Troy's practices, both in The Vet and on the practice fields, are closed to the public due to social distancing guidelines in place for COVID-19.
The Trojans return 54 letterwinners from last year's squad and 18 total starters including All-American linebacker Carlton Martial and Freshman All-American safety Dell Pettus; Troy is expected open fall camp with 117 players on the roster.
