Men's Tennis Set to Travel to Jackson State Friday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will be on the road this weekend for a match at Jackson State. The Trojans and Tigers will square off at the JSU Tennis Center with first serves scheduled for 2 p.m.

Troy enters Friday's contest with a 10-4 overall record and on a 5-match winning streak. Last weekend the Trojans hosted three matches in three days and came away with three victories. Following the solid weekend, and strong start to the season, the Trojans' Oskar Michalek earned an ITA national singles ranking of 125. Michalek became the first Trojan since 2016 to earn a national ranking in singles.

Pelayo Antuna earned Troy's second consecutive Sun Belt Player of the week honor, the first of his career, on Wednesday after going 2-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles last weekend. Antuna and Carles Anton have earned the last two Sun Belt weekly awards.

• Jackson State enters the weekend with a 1-8 overall record and an 0-1 record in the SWAC
• They have lost five straight matches after defeating Loyola University of New Orleans back on Jan. 25
