TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Connor Futrell, the nation's No. 98-ranked player, fired a 4-under 68 in Saturday's second round to lead Troy at the Seminole Intercollegiate at Golden Eagle Country Club. Troy is in 11^th place as a team while Futrell sits in a tie for eighth.

Futrell picked up six birdies in the second round for his ninth round under par – all in the 60s – over 19 rounds this season. It was a solid bounce back from a 4-over 76 in the opening round where he had seven bogeys. Futrell is in a three-way tie for eighth at even par.

Will McFadden opened with a 1-over 73 thanks to a pair of birdies on the eighth and ninth before he followed with a 4-over 76 in the afternoon session with two more birdies; he is tied for 30^th place overall.

Troy shot an 11-over 299 as a team in the opening round and followed with a 12-over in the second round. The Trojans can make a run up the leaderboard in Sunday's final round as they are just 12 shots back of Kent State for seventh in the 14-team field.

Nicklas Borrmann and Ryan Morrison are tied for 59^th place at 9-over par. Borrmann carded three birdies in each of his two rounds Saturday while Morrison finished with three birdies on the day. Brent Hamm rounded out the field for the Trojans in a tie for 73^rd.

Troy will play Sunday's final round with West Virginia and South Alabama beginning on the 10^th tee at 7 a.m. (CT).
