Futrell Leads Troy at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Connor Futrell turned in his seventh top 15 finish of the year to lead Troy at the Seminole Intercollegiate, which concluded with 18 holes Sunday at Golden Eagle Country Club. Troy finished in 12th place overall following an 11-over 299 in the final round.
Futrell has now finished in the top 15 in six of his seven tournaments this season and ranks among the top 100 players in the country. The Trojan junior had three birdies in his final round to run his three-round total to 12 birdies, and he led the field by finishing the weekend 2-under on par 3 holes.
Ryan Morrison and Nicklas Borrmann both turned in 1-over 73s on Sunday's trek across the course to finish tied for 44thplace at 10-over for the weekend. Borrmann's card featured a trio of birdies, while Morrison carded one birdie and just two bogeys.
Troy's round one leader Will McFadden closed out the weekend in a tie for 60th place after a 9-over Sunday, while Brent Hamm finished in 74th place after shooting a 7-over 79 on his final circuit at Golden Eagle.
No. 17 Washington won the team title with a 9-under 855 over the three rounds in a field that featured seven teams ranked in the top 50.
The Trojans have a couple weeks to regroup before heading to Statesboro, Ga., for the Schenkel Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia Southern March 13-15.
