Troy Travel to Take on Alabama A&M in Huntsville

The Troy women's tennis team will travel to Huntsville to take on Alabama A&M in a midweek matchup. This match is a makeup of the January 29 scheduling that got postponed due to weather. The Trojans and Bulldogs met last year in Troy and the Trojans were able to walk away with a 7-0 win over the Bulldogs to begin the 2019 spring season.

A Look at the Trojans
·      Last time out, the Trojans faced off against North Alabama, where the Trojans took down the Lions 6-1.
·      Troy did see a strong performance from Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic in doubles play, as they clinched the doubles point for the Trojans
·      In singles play, Matea Mihaljevic continued her winning ways by taking down Sydney Flesch of North Alabama 6-3, 3-6, 10-5.
·      Doubles play saw Anastasiia Khrustaleva and Anastasiia Khokhlova , Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic, and Tijana Svitlica and Chunxi Guo all pairing up.

A Look at the Bulldogs
·      Last season Alabama A&M posted a 7-10 record but finished 5-2 in conference play.
·      So far this season, the Bulldogs are 0-3 and have faced the likes of Alabama, Auburn, and Mercer.
·      The Bulldogs last played on February 15^thwhere they traveled to Macon, Georgia to take on Mercer, which resulted in 7-0 Mercer victory.
·      Senior Jasmine Lawson and junior Nthabiseng Mashengo will look to lead the Bulldogs this season as the veterans on the roster.
