Trojans Defeat the Bulldogs in Huntsville

TROY, Ala. –Troy women's tennis traveled to Huntsville for a mid-week match against Alabama A&M and came away with the win 7-0. The win gives the Trojans their fourth win of the season and also this matchup was a make-up from match that was previously canceled due to rain.

Doubles
• In the number three doubles Chunxi Guo and Tijana Svitlica faced off against Nthabiseng Mashengo and Ayana Rengiil of Alabama A&M, where the Trojans won the match 6-1.
• The second match in doubles play that concluded came from the number one doubles where Anastasiia Khokhlova and Anastasiia Khrustaleva faced off against Jasmine Boyd and Anita Bozkho, which saw the Trojans taking the match 6-1. This Troy win clinched the doubles point for the Trojans on the day.
• In the number two doubles Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic took on Camila Ruiz Diaz and India Woods of Alabama A&M, where the Trojans came away with a 6-3 victory and completing the doubles sweep of the Bulldogs.

Singles
• In number six singles Anastasiia Khrustaleva faced off against Nthabiseng Mashengo , which saw Khrustaleva taking the match 6-0, 6-0 to give Troy a 2-0 lead.
•The second singles match that concluded on the afternoon Anastasiia Khokhlova take on Anita Bozkho in number two singles. Khokhlova took the match 6-3, 6-2 giving Troy a 3-0 lead.
• The third match that concluded on the afternoon came from number one singles, where Matea Mihaljevic grabbed a singles victory 6-3, 6-1 over Jasmine Boyd to give Troy the 4-0 lead and clinch the match for the Trojans.
• The fourth match that concluded came from number four singles saw Shevita Aulana defeat Neha Ghare 6-3, 6-3 to give Troy a 5-0 lead on the afternoon.
• In number three singles Chunxi Guo faced off against Camila Ruiz Diaz, where Guo walked away with a 6-3, 6-3 victory giving Troy a 6-0.
• In the final match of the afternoon, Tijana Svitlica defeated India Woods 6-4, 6-4 to give Troy the clean sweep victory over the Bulldogs.
