Notes: Women's Basketball's Final Contest of 2020 Set For Sunday

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball will be back inside Trojan Arena for its final non-conference game of 2020. The Trojans will close out 2020 on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. when they host Martin Methodist. In the last two season Troy is 6-0 in non-conference games played inside Trojan Arena.

IMPRESSIVE DEBUTS
Felmas Koranga and Jhileiya Dunlap each made their long await Troy debuts against Middle Tennessee. Koranga, 2019-20 JUCO Player of the Year, and Dunalp, former 3-star recruit, each dazzled on Thursday. Koranga fell just shy of a double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds while blocking 2 shots. Dunlap scored 11 points and had 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals and 2 assists

TROY'S BIG THREE
Troy has one of the best post units in the Sun Belt and against Middle Tennessee that was on full display. The trio of Alexus Dye, Felmas Koranga and Jhileiya Dunlap combined to score 55 of the teams 76 points against MT while shooting a combined 22-41 (53%) from the field. The rest of the team was 7-for-27 (26%) from the field.

SCORING IN BUNCHES
Over the past few seasons Troy has become known for having multiple student-athletes averaging just under 10.0 ppg but in 2020 Troy has five different players averaging at least 10.0 ppg: Alexus Dye (20.7), Tiyah Johnson (14.7), Felmas Koranga (14.0), Jhileiya Dunlap (11.0) and Tyasia Moore (10.7)

30 POINTS ARE RARE...MAYBE NOT
Troy went nearly 4 years without having a player score at least 30 points in a game then 2020 happened and Troy had two players score 30 points within 4 games. Tiyah Johnson scored 30 points against LaGrange followed by Alexus Dye who scored 30 against Middle Tennessee.
ONE AWAY FROM 150
Head coach Chanda Rigby is one win away from milestone victory No. 150 of her NCAA and Troy career. The ninth year head coach has completely transformed the Troy program since she took over in 2012, inheriting a program that won just two games before she arrived. Rigby guided her first team to seven wins, the same number Troy had won the previous two seasons combined, and has since won three Sun Belt Champions and has made two NCAA appearances.

ASSISTS ARE A GOOD THING
Troy has assisted on 110 of its 199 made field goals so far this season, or 55 percent of all made field goals. It's Troy's highest assist to made field goal percentage since the 2007-08 season when it assisted on 57 percent of its made field goals.

Through six games Alexus Dye is averaging a double-double with 20.7 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game. She has recorded five double-doubles in Troy's six games. Her five double-doubles are tied for the 2nd most nationally
