TROY, Ala. – Following a two-week hiatus, the Troy men's and women's cross country teams are locked in and ready for the Sun Belt Championships in Mobile, Ala. The women's 5k trek will kick off at 10 a.m. from the Old Brookley Golf Course with the men's 8k to follow.

The women enter the conference championship after posting their second victory of the season at the Blazer Classic. This marked the first time since at least 2014 that the women have been victorious in two races within the same season after winning the Azalea City Classic to kick off the season.Â

Macki Walsh, Cadi Rowe and Gracie Booher led the Trojans for the third consecutive meet of the season with top-ten finishes by Walsh and Rowe.

On the men's side, Mason Bennett led Troy the last time out with a 77th-place finish at the Blazer Classic. Blake Vaughn and Sage Delfino rounded out the Trojans' top-three finishers placing 78th and 83rd, respectively.

The Sun Belt Championships will be open to spectators. Spectators must be wearing face coverings and are encouraged to socially distant around the course whenever possible. The conference office will set up designated viewing areas for the awards ceremony.
