Women's Golf Holds Spot on Leaderboard on Day Two at Callaway Gardens

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Troy women's golf maintained its third place standing following Tuesday's second round of the Callaway Gardens Invite on the Lake View Course at Callaway Gardens.
ShaeLee Scarberry, who is tied for sixth place, paced the Trojans in Tuesday's round with a 1-under 70 on the par-71 setup thanks to four birdies over the course of her round. She made the turn at even par and dropped her card to 3-under at one point on the back nine before back-to-back bogeys ended her day.
Troy trails Middle Tennessee by just four shots for the team lead, and the Trojans are just two shots back of Central Arkansas for second heading into Wednesday's final round.
Nicole Lorup dropped three shots off her opening round tally to shoot 1-over 72 thanks to a trio or birdies on the day; she is tied for 13th place overall. Anna Claire Little moved into a tie for 31st place after shooting 2-over Tuesday with one birdie in her round where she is tied with Elisabeth Preus after she shot 79 on the day.
Elizabeth Caldarelli sits in the middle of the pack after carding a 5-over 76 Tuesday with a birdie; she is tied for 27th place, while Courtney Vogel slipped to a tie for 38th place after shooting 9-over on the day.
Troy will be in the last group of the day to hit the course Wednesday with the first threesome hitting the course at 9:45 a.m. (CT).
