Women's Golf Tied for Third at Callaway Gardens Invite
STATESBORO, Ga. – Ryan Morrison turned in the best 36-hole stretch of his Troy career with a 4-under 160 to lead the Trojans in Monday's opening two rounds of the Bash in the Boro. Troy is sixth with 18 holes to play.
Morrison, who is tied for sixth place, carded seven birdies in the second round en route to a career-best 4-under 68. He shot 33 on the front nine with four of his birdies; Morrison's 10 birdies on the day overall are tied for the third most in the field. He shot also shot 3-under on the front nine in the opening round with a birdie and an eagle, but ended his round with back-to-back doubles to shoot even.
George Burch and Brent Hamm both added rounds of 3-under 69 on the day but both struggled in their opposite round; Burch was 6-over in the opening round and is tied for 23rd and Hamm shot 7-over in the second round to sit tied for 27thplace.
Will McFadden came out of the gates strong with a 1-under 71 in the opening round with three birdies but shot 8-over in the afternoon to finish the day tied for 35th place. Nicklas Borrmann is in 44th place at 11-over while Reagan Harrell missed the opening round due to injury before shooting 9-over in the second round.
Teams will wrap up competition Tuesday with the final 18 holes of the tournament.
