TROY, Ala. – After a two-week hiatus, the Troy cross country teams trek to Hoover, Alabama to participate in the Blazer Classic Friday at Veterans Park. The men's 8k race will begin at 9:20 a.m. with the women's 6k to follow.

The women's squad posted back-to-back stellar outings to open the season bringing home first place in the Azalea City Classic and second in the John 'Doc' Anderson Invite.

Macki Walsh, Cadi Rowe and Gracie Booher continue to pace the Trojans as the women's top three finishers. Walsh led the women with a second-place finish in the Azalea City Classic and a fourth-place finish in the John 'Doc' Anderson Invite.

Sophomore Mason Bennett led the men in the home meet two weeks ago placing 18^th in the 8k with a time of 28:01.87 while Blake Vaughn led the men with a 5k personal record at the Azalea City Classic.

The men's squad recorded consecutive fourth-place finishes.

The meet will not be opened to spectators.
