COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Will McFadden fired a final round 72 to lead the Troy men's golf team at the Intercollegiate at The Grove which concluded play Tuesday afternoon. McFadden tied for 14th place and Troy finished 10th overall as a team.
McFadden shot even par for the 36-hole event with seven total birdies over his two rounds. He made the turn 1-over par Tuesday but battled back with birdies on the par-5 second and par-4 ninth.
Brent Hamm and Reagan Harrell shot matching 74s Tuesday and finished tied for 23rd and tied for 43rd, respectively. Hamm shot 3-over for the tournament with six total birdies while Harrell was three shots back with five total birdies.
ULM and Middle Tennessee tied for the team title at 3-under par while the Trojans finished 10th at 19-over.
Nicklas Borrmann matched his first round card with another 6-over 78 in Tuesday's second round to finish in a tie for 66th place, while Ryan Morrison improved his card by five shots from day one to day two and finished tied for 71st. George Burch rounded out the field for the Trojans in 83rd place.
Troy wraps its fall schedule next week at the Bash in the Boro hosted by Georgia Southern at the Georgia Southern Golf Course.
