Women's Basketball Debuts at No. 22 in Mid-Major Poll

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball makes their season debut in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon. After receiving votes since the first poll on Nov. 4, the Trojans finally cracked the mid-major top 25 at No. 22.

This marks the first mid-major top 25 ranking for Troy since Jan. 30, 2019 when they were ranked No. 21 after starting last season with a 16-3 record. This season Troy is also off to a 16-3 start, including a 7-1 Sun Belt record.

The Trojans will be back inside Trojan Arena for their third straight home game on Saturday, Feb. 1 when they host in-state rival, South Alabama. Tip-off against the Jaguars is scheduled for 2 p.m.
