Final Results
RUSTON, La. – Brent Hamm fired a 2-under 70 for his third straight round under par in Tuesday's final round of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at the Squire Creek Golf Club. Hamm tied for second place overall and Troy placed sixth.
Hamm finished in a three-way two for second and just two shots behind Georgia's Davis Thompson, who carded a 4-under 68 in the final round. Hamm carded 11 birdies over the three rounds and was near the top of the field with 37 pars.
Connor Futrell just missed a top-10 finish as he tied for 13thplace following a 5-over on Tuesday. Futrell was 6-under entering the day and finished in the red at 1-under for the tournament. Jake Tiffin tied for 32ndplace at 5-over for the week after shooting 4-over on the day, while Will McFadden tied for 54thplace at 10-over and Nicklas Borrmann shot 17-over to finish 74th.
Playing as individuals, Ryan Morrison shot 2-over on Tuesday to tie for 43rdplace and Bryson Bianco tied for 54thplace after a round of 1-over to wrap up play.
Georgia ran away with the team title shooting 17-under par which was six shots better than Texas State.
Troy returns to the course next Monday and Tuesday for the Graeme McDowell Invitational hosted by UAB at the Greystone Country Club in Birmingham.
