Â
Fans will be able to mix and mingle with coaches and staff in the Club Car area down the first base line. Head football coach Chip Lindsey, head men's basketball coach Scott Cross and head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby will be among those in attendance.
Â
Tickets to the game itself start at $15 for club level, $10 for reserved and $8 for general admission – fans will receive free entry to the Trojan Tour event upon entering the stadium. All tickets are available for purchase through the Montgomery Biscuits ticket office at (334) 323-2255 or online HERE.
Â
Troy (22-22) walked-off Alabama State (25-20) when the two teams met at Riddle-Pace Field earlier this month as the Trojans rallied from a 4-run deficit capped by an Alabama State throwing error on Logan Cerny's sacrifice bunt.Â
Â
The Trojans head to the Capital City looking to shake the rust off a series defeat at Little Rock over the weekend which snapped Troy's streak of four-straight conference series victories. Troy is 2-0 all-time at Riverwalk Stadium with victories over Auburn (2006) and Alabama (2008).
Â
Junior southpaw Max Newton will get the call on the bump for the Trojans. He also started the first meeting and tossed a quality start with three runs on six hits over six innings of work.
Â
Troy carries a balanced offensive attack into the week with Rigsby Mosley, Sadler Goodwin and Dalton Sinquefield all within 10 points of each other over the .300 mark and Drew Frederic, Chase Smartt and Hunter Mercer all hitting at .282 clips or better.
Â
Scouting Alabama State
Alabama State, who will be the home team in the game, has already completed SWAC play and won the league's East Division with an 18-5 conference record. The Hornets hit .291 as a team and are aggressive on the base paths with 73 stolen bases. Yamil Pagan is a powerful threat at the top of the lineup with 13 home runs and 11 stolen bases, while Noel Cheneau is batting at a .344 clip with nine homers and 20 stolen bases. Alabama State has struggled to field the ball with 78 errors in 45 games and a .953 fielding percentage as a team.
