SAN MARCOS, Texas – Hailey McKray hit a walk-off single to power Texas State past Troy in game two of the series, 9-0, in six innings Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.

A trio of RBI singles capped off by Hailey McKray's single down the left field line gave Texas State (26-21, 14-8 Sun Belt) the victory in six innings of play.

The Bobcats scoring starting off in the bottom of the first inning when Texas State scored three runs off of two hits and a walk.

Troy (35-17, 17-7) kept the Bobcats at bay for three innings before Tara Oltmann sent a two-run home run over the left center wall in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Texas State's scoring was capped off in the bottom of the sixth inning with four runs scored off of hits by Samara Lagway, Mari Cranek, ArieAnn Bell and McKay.

Annie Willis (8-10) suffered the loss for the Trojans allowing five runs off of five hits and four walks.

Dalilah Barrera (8-4) earned the win after scattering two hits and sitting down four batters over four innings of work. Meagan King (S,1) picked up a save allowing no hits and giving up just one walk in two innings of work.

Next Up
The Trojans look to bounce back and pick up their sixth consecutive Sun Belt series win Sunday at 12 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium.
