Troy Treks to Georgia Southern

TROY, Alabama – Troy looks to extend its 12-game win streak and sweep its fourth consecutive Sun Belt Conference series with three games against Georgia Southern. Friday, Saturday and Sunday's game times are set for 4:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 11 a.m., respectfully.

The Trojans' (30-13, 12-4 Sun Belt) defeated rival South Alabama Wednesday night in Mobile to pick up their 12th straight win and match the programs longest win streak, which was originally set in 1995.

Talia Truitt enters as Troy's offensive leader batting a .362 and on a four-game hitting streak. Kaylee Hussey has come alive at the plate during conference play batting a .320 with five doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs. Hussey is currently tied for second in the league in doubles.

Leanna Johnson (21-5) picked up her fifth consecutive win on Wednesday against South Alabama. Johnson came into the week ranked third nationally in victories and 17th in strikeouts; Johnson added eight strikeouts and another win to her resume Wednesday night.

Scouting Georgia Southern
The Eagles (18-19, 4-10) come into the matchup after splitting two games with Louisiana Monroe last weekend. Shelby Wilson leads the team's offensive efforts with 30 RBIs. Wilson is batting a .383 with seven doubles and seven home runs.

Rylee Waldrep and Ashleigh Morton see the majority of time in the circle for Georgia Southern. Waldrep comes into the matchup with a 4.00 ERA and 33 strikeouts over 85.2 innings of work while Morton enters with a 3.76 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 54 innings of work.
