Senior Day: Troy to Honor Seniors Prior to Final Home Game

GAME NOTES

TROY, Alabama – Troy will honor its three seniors in a pregame ceremony prior to tipping off against Coastal Carolina Saturday at 2 p.m. in the team's final game of the regular season.

Troy (21-7, 12-5 SBC) locked up the third seed in the Sun Belt Tournament with a dominating 95-66 win over Appalachian State Thursday. The Trojans get a bye to the quarterfinal round and, as of now, will play Thursday at 2 p.m. against the winner of the Texas State-South Alabama/Louisiana game.

Coastal Carolina (16-12, 8-9) has a small chance of moving to the No. 7 seed, but are likely locked into the No. 8 slot. In the last meeting between Troy and CCU, the Trojans erased a 17-point deficit in four minutes to win, 82-81, at the HTC Center in Conway.

Seniors Shaterrika O'Neal, Amahni Upshaw and Sky'Lynn Holmes will be honored pregame.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Coastal Carolina has dropped two straight entering Saturday's contest. The Chanticleers fell, 67-50, at South Alabama on Thursday. With the loss the Chants remain in eighth in the Sun Belt standings. CCU can drop no lower than eighth, but there is a slim chance for the team to move into seventh.

NOTEWORTHY
• Troy's bench is averaging 39.8 points per game and have scored 34 or more points in all but one conference game. The Trojans put up a season-high 58 bench points at Arkansas State on Feb. 9.

• Chanda Rigby's Troy teams have scored 80-plus points 106 times in her seven seasons - that's 49 percent of her games coached (217 games). The Trojans are 85-21 in those games; 71-10 since 2014.
