Men’s Tennis Defeats Appalachian State

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Men's Tennis was able to bounce back in the conference play and defeated Appalachian State, 6-1. The Trojans dominated in doubles and singles allowing only one team point in singles for the Appalachian State team.

Christopher Tasker and Jorge Poyatos clinched the win at No.1 spot, while Pelayo Antuna and Jiaqi Duan won their match against Zion Heaven and Ben Webster, 7-5. All of the Trojan singles wins came in two sets, except Antonio Selma, who defeated Campbell Stone in a tough three-set match, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. After the first weekend of dual matches in the Sun Belt Conference Michalek and Tasker went for 2-0 in the singles play at No.2 and No.4 spots.
