Troy Struggles in Doubles Against Chanticleers

TROY, Ala.– The Troy Men's Tennis fell short against Coastal Carolina in the first Sun Belt dual match of the season, 2-5. The Trojans fell short in doubles and were close to clinching singles victories in the third set to get back in the game.

Senior Jiaqi Duan and Sophomore Pelayo Antuna were the only duos that won among three seeds. Duan and Antuna defeated Lawrence Perrin and Francesco Cori, 6-1. In the singles play, the Trojans were able to get two wins from Christopher Tasker and Oskar Michalek. Tasker defeated Gonzolo Achondo, 6-2, 6-2, while Michalek clinched the point for the Trojans against Zak Talik, 6-2, 7-6. Jiaqi Duan and Antonio Selma were close to getting it to four points for the team but were outplayed by Chanticleers in the third set.
