JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The Troy women's tennis team was defeated by North Florida, 4-0, on Sunday at the UNF Tennis Complex to begin their two-match spring break road trip.

Troy could not catch a break as a tough North Florida squad swept four straight points to claim the match. Troy fell to 4-5 while North Florida improved to 8-6 on the year.

The Trojans return to action Monday as they travel to take on Bethune-Cookman in Jacksonville, Fla.

DOUBLES
• Matea Mihaljevic and Tingting Pei fell to Rafaela Gomez and Constanza Gorches, 6-1, to open up doubles play.
• Celia Montero Estevan and Maria Casas Blas dropped the doubles match point to Valentina Mariotto and Ana Paula Melilo, 6-2.

SINGLES
• Montano secured a victory to open up singles play, 6-1, 6-0, over Pei.
• Melilo defeated Estevan, 6-0, 6-0.
• Constanza clinched the match victory for North Florida 6-2, 6-3 over Chunxi Guo.
