Troy Visits League-Leading UT Arlington Saturday

ARLINGTON, Texas – Troy concludes its regular season road schedule Saturday at 2 p.m. against league-leading UT Arlington.

The Trojans (20-6, 11-4) won their 20^thgame of the season Thursday at Texas State behind a barrage of three-pointers. Harriet Winchester led the way knocking down 6-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc, she finished with a game-high 18 points. The team converted 13 of 26 attempts in the game.

UT Arlington (21-6, 13-3) enter the contest sitting atop the Sun Belt standings. The Mavericks have just two games to play, while the Trojans have three remaining. Cierra Johnson paces the squad averaging 14.6 points per game and Katie Ferrell is a versatile player posting 120 assists along with a team-high 27 blocks.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
UT Arlington sits in the driver's seat of the Sun Belt Conference standings. Sporting a 13-3 league record, the Mavericks still need to win out to guarantee a share of the league title.

After struggling from the field in the first quarter, the UTA used lockdown defense and balanced scoring to pull away and defeat South Alabama, 72-51, Thursday night. UTA led by as many as 23 points in the second half, but a Jaguar run cut the lead down to 12 with seven minutes remaining in the fourth.
