Troy Set for Away Matches

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's tennis team will make their first away trip of the season to play Gardner-Webb, South Carolina State University and Wofford from Saturday, Feb.9 to Monday, Feb. 11.
The Trojans will take on Gardner-Webb on Saturday at 2 p.m., then South Carolina State University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and Wofford at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Troy is coming off a four-match winning streak and it will be another chance for Vargas and his team to stay undefeated in the non-conference play.Redshirt sophomore Christopher Tasker has won three singles games in a row at No.4 and No.5 spot. The duo of Manuel Bernard and Oskar Michalek will be looking to extend their winning doubles streak to four matches.
Gardner-Webb (0-3) is coming off a 5-2 loss to UNC Wilmington last Saturday, while Wofford (1-3) was defeated by Richmond, 4-3 on Saturday. South Carolina State Bulldogs (0-4) claimed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title last season, but currently are coming off 7-0 loss to South Carolina. The Bulldogs are at Coastal Carolina today before welcoming Troy on Feb.9.
After the weekend dual matches the Trojans will have a four-day break until they host Abraham Baldwin Agricultural on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
