Retribution Game: Troy Sets Eyes on Georgia State

GAME NOTES
TROY, Alabama – After falling to Georgia State 84-80 in Atlanta, Troy is looking for a little payback as the Panthers visit Trojan Arena Thursday for a 6 p.m. tip.
GSU (13-9, 7-4 SBC) handed the Trojans their first conference loss on Jan. 19 and the Panthers have five of six games since. In Sun Belt Conference games, Georgia State is second in scoring defense, second in steals, and third in field goal percentage.
Troy (17-5, 8-3) bounced back after losses at South Alabama and Little Rock to defeat Arkansas State on Saturday, 100-89. Five Trojans scored in double figures while 58 of the team's points came off the bench.
In the series, Georgia State has won games in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Jada Lewis scored 18 points and hit five huge free throws in the final minute of the game to help Georgia State hang on to defeat Louisiana 74-71 on Saturday. It was the Panthers third straight win.
Lewis continues to lead the team and is fifth in the Sun Belt averaging 15.0 points per game, she also tops the conference with 36.5 minutes per contest.
In the first meeting between the teams, Georgia State scored the last eight points of the game to claim an 84-80 win over Troy. The Panthers used a 12-2 late third quarter run to climb out of an 18-point hole.
