Troy Pulls Out 4-2 Win Over Wofford

SPARTANBURG, South Carolina – The final away match of the weekend proved to be a good one for Troy (7-0) as the Trojans handily dispatched Wofford College (3-4) to remain undefeated in the non-conference play.
The Trojans took advantage of the doubles point as sophomore Pelayo Antuna, and senior Jiaqi Duan claimed the win at No.1 spot, 6-1. Freshman Manuel Bernard and junior Oskar Michalek defeated Kyle Barr and John Crawford, 6-4.
With one point in the pocket, The Trojans were able to collect three singles wins, that were needed to win the match. Despite losing the first two singles matches at No.3 and No.4 seeds, the team came back with the wins from Pelayo Antuna and Oskar Michalek. The winning point was clinched by Christopher Tasker, who was able to come back in the third set after being down 5-3. Tasker saved seven match points to force the game into the tiebreaker where he won 7-2. The redshirt sophomore has defeated three opponents in three days and went through nine sets of singles play overall.
