TROY, Ala. -- The Troy Trojans men's basketball program's Trojan Arena matchup with South Alabama has been moved to Friday Feb. 7 on ESPN2 the Sun Belt Conference and the network announced Tuesday morning.
Originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip on Feb. 8, the game will instead tip off Friday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
"This rivalry is one of the best in the Sun Belt Conference and it should be great for a national audience to be able to witness it," head coach Scott Cross said. "The opportunity to play on ESPN is great exposure for our basketball program but also the university. We look forward to getting a chance to showcase our beautiful arena and our gameday atmosphere. Everybody around the country will be able to see our facility and our basketball program."
The matchup with South will be Troy's first home game to be televised on an ESPN network since 2014 (Feb. 15) when the Trojans faced Georgia State.
In addition to the matchup against the Jaguars, Troy's matchup at Indiana will be featured on Big Ten Network. Tip off from Bloomington is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
"For me playing at a historic program like Indiana is a bucket list item for me," Cross said. "It's a place that has a ton of tradition and has been one of the premiere basketball programs the last century. The opportunity to go and play such a historic program in that venue is another great opportunity for us."
Basketball season tickets for the entire men's and women's home slate are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets or by calling 877-878-WINS (9467).
General admission season tickets start at just $50 and reserved seats at just $200. The first 500 fans to purchase season tickets will receive a "Take The Stairs" t-shirt courtesy of Premiere Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram.
Troy men's basketball opens the season with a home matchup against UAB on Nov. 7. Tip off from Trojan Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m.
