TROY, Ala. – Troy improved to 4-1 in Sun Belt Conference play following a 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18) victory over ULM Friday night in Trojan Arena. It was a total team effort as four Trojans finished with double-digit kill numbers.
Caitlin Cooper hit a career-high 11 kills for the Trojans while Julia Brooks tied a career high of 17. Cooper's .647 hitting percentage is the fifth highest in a match in school history. Halston Hillier found her groove again hitting .400 with 14 kills. Cheyenne Hayes posted her sixth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 16 digs.
Amara Anderson was stellar running the Trojan offense once again, finishing with 51 kills (12.75 AS/S) on the night. Lacey Jeffcoat had a phenomenal match at libero, ending her night with a team-high 17 digs.
"Our team just continues to show they're gritty and they're refusing to lose right now," head coach Josh Lauer said. "The crowd was amazing tonight. They're making this place special and I'm really thankful to all the students that come out."
Set One

Set Three
ULM had the upper hand early in the third set after taking a quick 6-3 lead, but Troy would tie the match at 10-10 on a kill from Hayes. A kill from Brooks gave the Trojans a 17-14 advantage and Troy never looked back. Hillier slammed home a kill to clinch the set and give Troy a 2-1 advantage.
Set Four
The Trojans would not be denied in the final set of the night, grabbing a seven-point lead at 17-10. The Warhawks would pull within three at 19-16, but a timely kill from Brooks halted the ULM run. Troy cruised to a 25-18 win in set four to improve to 9-0 this season at Trojan Arena.
