Troy Women’s Hoops Hosts Dollar Night, Little Rock in Key Sun Belt Matchup

GAME NOTES
TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team hosts Little Rock in a key Sun Belt Conference game Thursday at 6 p.m. It's also Dollar Night in Trojan Arena with tickets, popcorn and sodas available for just $1.
The Trojans (11-2, 2-0 SBC) took both games in its conference opening road swing through Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State, but the team faces a different challenge as Troy and Little Rock have won two Sun Belt Conference tournament titles each over the last four seasons.
Little Rock (6-7, 2-0) again played a challenging non-conference schedule and entered league play with a sub-.500 record for the third time in the last four seasons, though the program has won the Sun Belt regular season title three times over that span.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Ronjanae DeGray was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Monday. DeGray averaged 17.8 points and 6.6 rebounds while shooting an incredibly efficient 53.6 percent from the floor in her last four games. The senior notched her first double-double of the season with an 11-point-10-rebound game against Missouri State. In Thursday's matchup against the Warhawks, the forward scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She continued her hot shooting with a double-double against Louisiana as DeGray pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with her 25 points, which tied her career high. The senior's performance led the Trojans to two impressive wins to open their conference schedule.
Little Rock (6-7, 2-0) defeated Louisiana, 62-48, on Saturday.

• Troy leads the nation averaging 51.2 rebounds per game. The Trojans are also first with 23.0 offensive rebounds per contest leading to an average of 19.3 second chance points.
• Troy is looking to start 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference play for the second time under Chanda Rigby. The Trojans opened leagues play 5-0 in 2016-17.
• On Saturday, Tyra Johnson scored a team-best 16 points to become Troy's eighth different play to lead the team in scoring through 13 games this season.
• Troy is 20-5 with Kayla Robinson as the team's starting point guard since the junior took over as the regular starter on Jan. 20, 2018.
