TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics will host the fifth annual Trojan Madness on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Trojan Arena. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
A pep rally featuring the South of the South, Troy University SGA, cheerleaders and T-Roy will kickoff the event at 6:30 p.m. in anticipation of the football game against Georgia State on Thursday, Oct. 4 at The Vet. Head football coach Neal Brown, head men's basketball coach Phil Cunningham and head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby will all speak during the event. WDHN anchor and Troy alumnus Ben Stanfield will serve as the Trojan Madness on-court emcee.
There will plenty of fun for fans as attendees will have the opportunity to take pictures with the football Sun Belt Conference championship trophy and New Orleans Bowl championship trophy as well as enjoy free food and prizes and participate in on-court contests and promotions. Last year's hit promotion featuring the sumo wrestling suits will also return once more in Trojan Arena. In addition, all fans who attend Trojan Madness will automatically be entered to win great prizes such as Troy basketball gear, t-shirts, free season tickets and coupons to local restaurants.
The women's team returns to the court on Nov. 1 when it takes on West Florida in an exhibition at 6 p.m. in Trojan Arena ahead of its season opener at Florida State on Nov. 6. The men's team opens its season in November.
