TROY, Alabama – Troy volleyball is hitting the road to Montgomery Tuesday to meet Alabama State in its final non-conference game of the 2018 season before beginning the Sun Belt schedule this weekend at Arkansas State and Little Rock.

The Trojans (5-7) are coming off a big five-set win over rival Jacksonville State Saturday night and are looking to carry that momentum into their mid-week matchup with the Hornets.

Freshmen Amara Anderson, Lacey Jeffcoat and Halston Hillier continue to make their presence felt on the court for Troy. Anderson leads the conference with 513 assists (10.91/set); Jeffcoat's 3.43 dig per set average ranks seventh in the league; and Hillier has recorded double-digit kills in three of her last four matches with over a .300 attacking percentage in all four.

Alabama State (3-12) has lost 11 straight matches but boast several individuals at or near the top of the SWAC statistical categories. The Hornets and Trojans have met 31 times in history with Troy winning every match.
