Troy Volleyball Kicks Off Preseason

TROY, Alabama – Troy volleyball began its preseason practices and workouts Tuesday in preparation for the 2018 season.

With only seven returning players from last year's club, the Trojans are gearing up for an exciting new brand of volleyball on the court.

Head coach Josh Lauer and his staff signed the program's first nationally-recognized signing class this past year, bringing in eight new faces to the squad. Prepvolleyball.com listed Troy as a "High Honorable Mention" – one of just three Sun Belt schools mentioned – in its rankings of the 2018 signing classes.

The Trojans will face off with Samford in an exhibition game Saturday in Birmingham. Troy is set to open the regular season campaign on August 24, as it welcomes Southern, Southeast Missouri and Southeastern to Trojan Arena for the Troy Invitational.
