ARDMORE, Okla. – True freshman Nicole Lorup fired a 2-under 69 in her first collegiate round to lead Troy in Friday's opening round of the Lady Maxwell at Dornick Hills. Lorup is tied for first place following 18 holes and Troy is tied for first as a team.

A native of Smorum, Denmark, Lorup carded five birdies in her round and just three bogeys. She is tied with UTSA's Hannah Holzmann for the individual lead while senior Bianca Lohbauer is tied for sixth place with a 2-over 73 thanks to three birdies in her round.

Troy shot 10-over as a team on Friday to finish the day tied with UTSA at the top of the leaderboard. Sam Houston State is a shot back in third while Oral Roberts and Stephen F. Austin are seven shots back in a tie for fourth.

Sarah Harrison sits in a tie for 13^thplace following a 4-over 75 on the par-71 course and Lindsey Harrison is tied for 21^stplace after carding a 77. Jordan Susce rounded out the field for the Trojans in a tie for 44^thafter shooting an 84. Playing as an individual, Judith Castro Roldan shot a 3-over and is tied for ninth place.

Troy will hit the course on Saturday for the second round beginning at 9:54 a.m.
