TROY, Ala. – Following the generosity of Trojan Fans with the Community Hero Bowl Tickets program, Troy Athletics is proud to announce a new initiative for the upcoming 2018 football season. The Community Hero Ticket Program allows fans to purchase season tickets for just $48, which will be donated to military, teachers, first responders, special needs organizations and charity programs for children to attend home football games this season at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
There is no limit on the number of Community Hero Tickets that fans can purchase as part of this program. Troy Athletics will work with local agencies and organizations, military bases and many more to distribute these donated tickets for all six home games this season.
'Troy Athletics is excited to extend this opportunity and help create meaningful partnerships throughout our communities" Troy Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain said. "Our Community Hero Ticket donors have a unique opportunity to significantly impact some very important groups through this program."
The Community Hero Ticket Program will provide an opportunity for all Trojan fans to unite and give back to deserving groups within our community. The opportunity for these groups to attend these games, which in many cases they would not be able to attend on their own, will provide a lasting impression of the Troy University community with the individuals that benefit from this program.
"Being a Community Hero Ticket donor is personally rewarding and mutually beneficial. It gives me great joy to be able to honor our military and community heroes as well as offer the opportunity for many children and families to experience gameday," Pike County Chamber of Commerce President Kathleen Sauer said. "Community Heroes is all about building, promoting and maintaining a strong community for everyone."
In the words of our beloved fight song, "Here's to the school we love. We are Trojans, One and All." Here is a chance for us to have those words come to life. The Community Hero Ticket Program will provide an opportunity for us to show all members of our community that, when we come together, we are #OneTROY.
Purchase your Community Hero Tickets today by calling the Troy Ticket Office at 877-878-WINS, by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets or in person at the ticket office in Trojan Arena. Fans and companies or organizations that purchase 10 or more community hero tickets will also be recognized on the video board at Veterans Memorial Stadium throughout the upcoming season as well.
