Troy Pair Earns CSC Football Academic All-District Honors

TROY, Ala. – Troy receiver Peyton Higgins and defensive lineman Jermaine Paramore have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible, the student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have appeared in 90 percent of the institution's games or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Higgins closed out his Troy career catching 36 passes for 301 yards and a touchdown, as he helped lead the Trojans to a Sun Belt West Division championship in 2025. A native of Florence, Ala., Higgins has a 3.75 GPA in graduate school after posting a 3.53 GPA during his undergraduate program in physical education. Higgins had a season-best six receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in Troy's division-clinching win at Southern Miss.
Paramore is in his second season with the Trojans and carries a 3.83 GPA in global business. A native of Saraland, Ala., Paramore played in all 14 games, playing 98 snaps on defense and 54 snaps on special teams. He finished the season with nine tackles and a half tackle for loss.
