Troy Summer Ball Update: July 10

TROY, Ala. – Following a historic 40-win season and a run to the NCAA Athens Regional, Troy baseball players kept up the pace and spread out across the country to participate in collegiate summer leagues. Here's a quick update on how a few Trojans are doing so far.

Cole Prestegard – Peninsula Pilots (Coastal Plain)
A Coastal Plain League American All-Star starter, Prestegard leads the Pilots with a .346 batting average in 18 games this summer. The rising senior has driven in 10 runs and has collected four doubles, a triple and a homer.

Zack Lightsey – Madisonville Miners (Ohio Valley)
Lightsey has posted a 1.80 ERA through 20 solid innings on the mound for the Miners and ranks second on the team with 29 strikeouts. He is one of five players in the entire league to have a sub-2.00 earned run average in 20+ innings of work.

Ryan Fultz – DeLand Suns (Florida)
In five appearances, Fultz has posted a 2.24 earned run average and 13 strikeouts for the Suns. He has allowed just 13 hits and five walks through 16 innings of work with three starts on the mound.
