Women’s Golf Climbs On Day Two of The Brickyard

MACON, Georgia – Troy fired its second-best round of the season to climb three spots into sixth place following Monday's second round of The Brickyard Collegiate. The 14-team field in the event features nine teams ranked among the top 100 nationally.
Bianca Lohbauer and Lindsey Harrison carded rounds of even par to lead the Trojans on Monday. Lohbauer sits tied for 11th place with Troy's fifth-best 36-hole score of the year with a 4-over 148, while Harrison climbed into a tie for 61st after shaving 15 shots off her opening round score.
The pair both carded four birdies on the day with Harrison's all coming on the front nine, while Lohbauer split them two and two around the turn.
Troy shot 5-over as a team on the day which marks their fifth round under 300 over its last four tournaments. The Trojans enter Tuesday's final round just six shots back of Mercer and 10 shots behind Virginia Tech. Vanderbilt is the clubhouse leader at 3-over.
Antonia Poate continued her late-season renaissance with a 1-over 73 to find herself tied for 23rd place, while Evan Fabricius-Bjerre is tied for 41st following a 76. Sarah Harrison added three birdies en route to shooting 4-over; she is tied for 54th place, while Abby Parks is in 78th place playing as an individual.
Teams will play a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. (CT) for Tuesday's final round. Troy will play alongside Mercer and Virginia Tech beginning on holes four through six.
