Troy Holds 5-Shot Advantage Over LSU After One Round at The Brickyard

MACON, Georgia – Bianca Lohbauer shot 1-under on the back nine and paced Troy in Sunday's opening round of the Brickyard Collegiate. The Trojans are tied for ninth place overall and hold a 5-shot lead over LSU heading into Monday's second round.
Lohbauer, who is tied for 21st place, made the turn at 5-over after three bogeys and a double-bogey. Following eight straight pars, she entered the par-5 ninth and dropped in her lone birdie of the round to shoot a 76 on the day.
Eva Fabricius-Bjerre and Antonia Poate are tied for 34th place after turning in matching cards of 78. Poate carded a pair of birdies on the round, while Fabricius-Bjerre had one birdie. Sarah Harrison also had one birdie as she is tied for 64th place following a 10-over round, while Lindsey Harrison is tied for 74th place at 15-over. Playing as an individual, Abby Parks is tied with Lindsey Harrison at 15-over.
No. 27 Vanderbilt is the clubhouse leader at 6-over par and eight shots in front of a trio of teams tied for second. Troy is just nine shots behind Kennesaw State for a top-five spot on the leaderboard in a field that features nine top-100 teams.
The Trojans will be the first ones on the course for Monday's second round as they will tee off at 7:30 (CT) alongside Mercer and North Florida on the first tee.
