TROY, Alabama – Following a nine day break, the Troy women's basketball team will wrap up non-conference play at longtime rival Jacksonville State Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Trojans (8-2) are off to the best start since moving to Division I in 1993 and are coming off a dominating win over Ole Miss, the program's first over an SEC opponent in 21 seasons.
Averaging 51.3 rebounds per game, Troy leads the nation in rebounding and have been the best in the country creating second chance opportunities with an NCAA-best 23.0 offensive board per game leading to an average of 20 second chance points per game.

JSU head coach Rick Pietri has an astonishing record against the Trojans winning 15 of his previous 18 meetings, while being Sun Belt foes at South Alabama. The 15 career wins are the most for Pietri against any one opponent.

In Jacksonville State's last outing, Miami University scored the opening 22 points of the game as JSU suffered its first loss since Nov. 24, falling, 58-41, Tuesday. While the Gamecocks (6-4) stumbled on just 1-of-15 shooting in the opening period, the RedHawks shot nearly 60-percent to build the early advantage.
