Troy Faces Talladega to Wrap Up Home Stretch

GAME NOTES

TROY, Alabama – Troy concludes its home non-conference slate and a three-game home stretch with a 12 p.m. matchup against Talladega on Wednesday in Trojan Arena. The game kicks off a doubleheader as the men's team is set to face Carver College at 2:15 p.m.; admission to both games is free.

The Trojans (6-2) are coming off a disappointing loss to Middle Tennessee on Dec. 4, but are looking to stay hot at home. Troy is 14-2 in Trojan Arena over the last two seasons.

Amber Rivers continues to lead the team in scoring averaging 12.4 points per game, while Kayla Robinson is coming on strong of late posting 12.8 points 6.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists over the last five games.

The Trojans and the Tornadoes (12-2) have not met since Troy moved to Division I in 1993, but did square off 24 times prior.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Talladega is off to a 12-2 start and looking to make a return trip to the NAIA National Tournament as the team did two years ago. Wednesday's game is the second of two matchups against Division I opponents this season, the Tornadoes took an 85-64 loss to Alabama A&M on Nov. 1.

Brijanee Moore leads the team averaging 15.7 points per game, while Diamond Jolly paces the squad with 12.7 rebounds per contest. Talladega is currently 13^thin the NAIA averaging 81.6 points per game.
