Men's Golf in the Mix Heading into Final Round of East Bay Deli Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Will McFadden fired a 1-under 71 and Troy sits in fourth place and just six shots off the lead following Monday's second round of the East Bay Deli Classic at the Turtle Point Golf Course.
McFadden carded five birdies as he shaved eight strokes off his opening round card for his third round under par this season. He made the turn at 1-under with a 35 front nine and stretched his card to 2-under before a bogey on the difficult No. 18.
Connor Futrell and Dean Martin continued their strong play as the pair currently sit in the top 10 heading into Tuesday's final round of play. Futrell carded a 1-over-73 with 15 pars, one birdie and two bogeys on his day to move into a tie for sixth place, while Martin dropped five birdies but struggled with a pair of large numbers to shoot 75 and sit tied for ninth.
No. 44 College of Charleston holds a 1-shot advantage over USC Upstate for the team title while Memphis is four shots back in third and Troy is just six shots off the pace in fourth. Futrell is four shots back on Memphis' Isiah Jackson for the individual lead.
Brent Hamm sits tied for 22ndplace after shooting 3-over on the day with a trio of birdies and Jake Tiffin is tied for 82ndplace after shooting 8-over on Monday.
Teams will play a shotgun start for Tuesday's final round beginning at 8 a.m. (CT). Troy is in a foursome with College of Charleston, USC Upstate and Memphis.
