Troy, Ala. – Troy shot a season-high 52.6 percent (30-of-57) from the field, cruising to a 77-58 victory over North Alabama in non-conference basketball action on Saturday morning inside Trojan Arena.

Troy saw four players rack up double digits led by senior Jordon Varnado with his fourth 20-point game this season and second consecutive, dropping a game-high 20 points alongside six boards, five assists, two blocks and a steal.
Fellow senior BJ Miller scored a career-high 18 points including going perfect from behind the arc in a career-best three three-pointers made to go along with four rebounds, a pair of assists and two steals. Joining the senior duo in double digits were senior Alex Hicks and sophomore Darian Adams tallying 13 and 11, respectively. Adams' 11 points was his career best.
The Trojans held North Alabama to just 29.4 percent (10-of-34) from the field in the first half, entering the break with a 35-28 lead. Troy came out firing in the second half, increasing its lead to 46-36 with 15:36 remaining and would not let the Lions come within 10 points for the remainder of the game.
QUOTING COACH CUNNINGHAM
"Very pleased with the way our guys came out and played today. These past two games were tough on our guys because of Thanksgiving break so the students were gone which meant that we had to bring our own energy. We appreciate and love the fans who were here, and the Sound of the South was very important to be here."
"BJ Miller was outstanding at the point, he ran the team and played defense really well which is what we expect from him. Jordon Varnado did a great job defensively and I thought Devante Foster came off the bench in the first half and gave us a spark. We needed these two wins and now we have some confidence moving into next week."
