Men's Golf Wraps Play at David Toms Intercollegiate

Final Results
BATON ROUGE, La. – Troy climbed three spots thanks to a pair of individual rounds under par in Sunday's final round of the David Toms Intercollegiate at the University Club in Baton Rouge. The Trojans finished ninth overall and Connor Futrell paced the Troy individuals in 13thplace.
Troy fired the third-best round of the day to close out play as teams finished a rain-shortened second round and then followed with the entire third round on Sunday. The Trojans shot 3-over in the third round to jump a trio of teams after a rocky day on the course Saturday.
Ike Alexander and Jake Tiffin both finished in the red Sunday with rounds of 1-under. Tiffin carded three birdies over a five-hole stretch towards the end of his round after dropping a three on the par-5 17th. Alexander birdied four holes in the final round around a trio of bogeys for his first round under par this season.
Futrell finished with seven birdies over the three rounds and shot 4-over with a pair of even-par rounds sandwiched around a 76 in round two for his second 13th-place finish in as many events this season.
LSU won the team title by 28 shots over Louisiana while Mercer, North Alabama and ULM rounded out the top five. Troy picked up four victories in the event with wins over Oral Roberts, Penn, Southeastern Louisiana and New Orleans.
Alexander's strong final round shot him 22 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 27thplace and Tiffin climbed 20 spots into a tie for 40thplace. Will McFadden was consistent across his three rounds as he shot a 78-77-77 to finish tied for 55thplace and Bryson Bianco placed 71stas a late addition to the lineup after Dean Martin was scratched due to illness.
Troy returns to Louisiana again this upcoming weekend for the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana Tech at the Squire Creek Country Club.
