The Cajuns (9-10, 1-4) jumped out to a big lead early, up 10-3 on the Trojans in the opening set. Troy battled all the way back to knot things at 20 apiece before pulling away with the set. Troy kept up the momentum in the second, firing out to an early lead and holding on for the win.
Louisiana kept things interesting by winning the third, but the Trojans were able to clinch the match with a big fourth.
Quotable – Troy Head Coach Josh Lauer
"Great team effort tonight and a tremendous defensive effort; four players with double digit digs is outstanding. Amara Anderson and Cheyenne Hayes led the way tonight and Logan Page and Savannah Moore were active and efficient all night long. I'm very proud of our team effort tonight and looking forward to tomorrow night."
